The Ministry of Attorney General, Court Services Branch is responsible for the delivery of all court administration services in B.C. The Family section of the registry provides the infrastructure to process documents that are required by the court to ensure timely and effective processing of family court cases and support to the justice system.
As the registry clerk you will provide effective and efficient registry services for the family and/or the criminal department.? You will provide counter service to the public to file and check documents for content, accuracy and compliance with court requirements. You will apply your organizational skills to operate and maintain the computerized case tracking system to record essential information for opening, processing, maintaining, scheduling and recording results for court files.
Highly organized, you capably prioritize and manage your workload to meet deadlines, using your outstanding eye for detail to ensure all work is carried out to a high standard. You are an effective communicator, able to successfully establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders and demonstrate tact and good judgment in applying procedures within established policies and guidelines.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum one year experience working in an office environment
- Minimum one year experience/training in keyboarding, data entry, word processing and standard computer applications
- Must have a minimum of 40 WPM keyboarding
- An equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training may be considered
Preference may be given to those with:
- Experience with JUSTIN and/or CEIS and CCD
- Experience or education in a related legal environment
- Experience delivering customer service
- Experience in registry and in court activity programs
- Overtime without prior notice may be required.
- Working hours may be altered to fit a shift pattern within a regular work day.
